Class Description

Ramiro Clemente LIVE!
A Mixed-Media Workshop via Zoom
Saturday, July 25, 2026, Begins at 9am PST
(Last day to sign up: July 25, 2026)

3.5 Hours – $45

Hello! We’d like to invite you to a special 1/2-day live workshop (via Zoom) with Barcelona-based artist Ramiro Clemente!

Ramiro is a very prolific mixed-media artist whose work is expressive, strange and whimsical all at the same time. Ramiro is internationally known and collected and in this workshop he will walk you through his methods of breaking the fear of the blank page through drawing, improvisation, and mixed media. We aren’t necessarily making masterpieces, but are learning a repeatable method to move through the creative process with more confidence by starting loosely, making visual decisions, using different materials as different tools, and gradually bringing the work into a stronger state.

We will meet via zoom for 3.5 hours on Saturday, July 25th at 9am Pacific Time. The class follows our basic format with some discussion, some demos, lots of work time and of course the ability to pick Ramiro’s brain and ask all the questions you like. We really enjoy this format because it’s as close to teaching in real life as you can get without actually being there!

The supplies you’ll need are fairly simple: paper to work on, a dip pen and India ink, some white acrylic paint, soft pastels and archival masking tape! I hope you can join us!

Carla

Ramiro Clemente is an Argentine artist based in Barcelona, known for his experimental approach to mixed media. His work combines drawing, painting, collage, image transfer, calligraphy, and expressive line work to create layered compositions full of texture, movement, and contrast. His creative process is built on improvisation, curiosity, and the balance between freedom and intention. As a Royal Talens ambassador, he continues to explore new ways of pushing the boundaries of contemporary drawing.

Alongside his artistic practice, Ramiro teaches workshops and mentors artists from around the world. Rather than encouraging people to copy a style, he helps them build confidence, embrace experimentation, and develop their own visual language. His philosophy is simple: creativity grows through curiosity, practice, and the courage to keep creating without being afraid of mistakes.
