CARLA SONHEIM & FRIENDS: THREE CLASSES
I have said this before but it is still so true for me: one of my favorite things about doing these classes is that I get to reach out to so many artists that I admire. They all have so much to share and we have several classes that are like “samplers” of my favorite artists! Here are three that are full of diverse and wonderful assignments.

Words & Pictures
Teachers: Carla Sonheim + Many Wonderful Guest Teachers
This class is an exploration of how words play a part in our artwork. They can inspire, inform and even become art themselves. We will be hitting all aspects including illustration, comics, lettering and writing, and will have 15 very special guest artists, including Martha Rich, Susy Pilgram Waters, Andrea D’Aquino, Sarajo Frieden, Kara Kramer and more! This class has a diverse and fun set of assignments for any mixed media artist.

2022 Yearlong
Teachers: Carla Sonheim + 12 Awesome Guest Teachers!
For this yearlong class we selected 12 artists/teachers to teach the main, mixed-media assignment each month, based around what excites them personally. The lessons include both a warm-up and a main project, and you can expect tutorials in acrylic and watercolor painting, drawing and illustration, collage, paper cutting and more! Plus you can watch the recorded zoom sessions where we worked on the assignments together and shared what we made.

Teacher: 6 Guest Artist/Teachers
Meet six fabulous artists with very different styles and personalities in interviews with Carla and then make projects inspired by their art along with Carla in a workshop setting. Sessions are about one hour long and are recorded with “forever access.”
